It seems the wretched get off Scott free. The Matriarch relies on Sultan for advice and is duped by her over and over. I skipped over a lot of scenes between the housekeeper and Havva because they were repetitive and boring. Trying to pass her as thoughtful and wise was laughable. She was easily manipulated by everyone. Ending of season ridiculous and disappointing. Plus story lines are mentioned and not completed such as the vineyard soil poisoning. Crazy Remzi as a real estate agent with no education or experience truly crazy.
His character had no redeeming qualities. I honestly agree with you dear.. I'm still on ep98 but after reading all these comments especially Yusuf died? Very disappointing. I don't feel like watching anymore as it is am already feeling exhausted of Havva's LIES one after the other..
To totally agree with what you said. Midway through season one Yilmaz made a few comments regarding how Sultan's husband saved his life and possibly the business too, he died in the process. Not sure if they were business partners or not. Later in the series when Sultan is worried if she is going to be fired, she is thinking out loud and states something like "the life that was robbed from me.
I share your feelings regarding Netflix and the poor script writing. I do recommend Black Money series, where the actress portraying Hamilyet, is the Aunt. Lots of twist and turns with unexpected "didn't see that coming. Sucker as I am, I am ashamed to admit I watched all episodes of Black Money and sorry no, did not like the ending -- the poor hero can't even remember his name now -- giving up his profession and becoming an owner of a bookshop with his wife - can't remember her name either -- very disappointing but at least they got married, in that sense a good ending, finally after watching so many Turkish series with sad endings -- for no reason!!!!
Hello, I am watching another Turkish movie Love is in the Air. I really enjoyed that. I thought Intersection was good also. Good that you didn't watch the end of Intersection -- you would have been horribly disappointed -- that's all i will say in case you relent and watch the rest. Series much too long. Havva makes me ill with the constant conniving, her father Remzi is beyond annoying, his voice would cut glass, Sultan should have been fired long ago. But Yusuf is so handsome to look at and I love the sister Minenver.
Yusufs Dad is great also. May pick up and watch later. Missing Toprak! Why can we not watch after the th episode with english subtitles??? That ending was awful!!
It looks like Netflix are missing 12 episodes Very disappointing that Netflix did not show all episodes. Really enjoyed series. Watch most Turkish productions. Shame on Netflix for doing this to us. Heart breaking ending when Yusuf dies in the church fire that was set by Bade. Havva is blamed and treated so badly by the entire family and even her crazy mother. The scenes when Havva is in prison pregnant with Yusuf's child will make you cry, she even stoops so low as to ask Mehmet for help.
Mehmet arranged some of his thug friends to frame Havva so that he could save Bade from her crime. As everyone says, Sultan and the mother are constantly conniving, and Bade is right in the middle of it. Havva truly loves Yusuf and he her. Yusuf is incredibly stubborn which is what leads at times to Havva's desperation.
Don't forget, Havva tried to leave and go to Istanbul, and Yusuf's love brought her back. Havva endures tremendous pain, being hidden away at the farm and being shot by Bade.
Yusuf's mom who is an amazing actress is every bit as bad as Sultan, and Remiki and his behavior is really hard to tolerate. I sure hope that Netflix will never do this again. The Turkish dramas are very well written, with good acting, and the scenery is captivating. I wanted her to find love, but altering the legal genetic record Josef is waiting for - is beyond the pale!
Her behaviour approaches pathological. The synopses above were helpful. Yes Netflix keeps us hanging. These characters are all deeply stereotypical and cannot be understood at face value. Finally, Josuf is an unbelievably perfect prince of a man - except he rarely shows any interest in the baby - which turns out not to be his. Please please please can you give us the episodes in English subtitles. Just love this series can't wait to see what happens next.
Yes agree they should have dumped series 3, watching it with no sub titles but get the gist. Ok so we lost Jusef and Havva who were replaced by Ali what relationship is he does anyone know?
He just appeared out of nowhere and took Jusefs place!! Havva was replaced by Sevas and Bade replaced by Linda Bade who once prounced around climbing step ladders in six inch heels and mini's now has become pathetic crying baby, baby nie baby!! She should have gone to Istanbul. Why isn't she in prison for arson and the murder of. Poor Havva whether you liked her or not did not deserve to take the wrap, nor die.
How could Turkish justice not see that she had a church full of witnesses that saw that she never left the bridal table let alone throw a torch from outside in Sultan in the early days was annoying, but I got used to her, Serif on the other hand needed to take off to Istanbul, she never stopped screaming.
What's with all the fainting and hospital scenes?? Without Jusef and Havva the story was over. Beautiful location, repetative music at times. No wonder Netflix dumped it. Love Turkish tv series however this one went downhill - take note writers do not simply dump main characters and replace them using same storyline, it does not work.
Ali was no patch on Jusef and Havva was irreplacable. Great acting by this pair. I missed Toprak and her gorgeous husband who you also replaced!!!! Writers you missed a great storyline there and instead filled the rest with rubbish. Sorry, thumbs up to the beginning do not waste your time with the rest.
What is Havva's illness in prison. She dies suddenly after giving birth in prison. I watched the Turkish channel without subtitles and could not figure it out. Was it the smoke from the fire, her lungs were compromised? Or from bullet wound - did they remove the bullet, or did it stay in her, poisoning her slowly? Her and Yusef's baby also dies, but I think the women in the prison convinced Selma to switch the babies, and pretend that it was her baby that died. Would really like to know the answer.
Also, what is Hammyet's demand from Havva in prison. She's asking for forgivenesss while also scheming. Please bring Season 2 to Netflix.
Forgot to mention the wonderful acting, but for me most of all,the location of Cappadocia, is definitely on my bucket list! Yusuf character is always perfect in this story and many girls want to be loved by him. Havva is a wise and assertive woman. In the meantime, she also took the wrong step because she was always distracted by the instigation of his own father and aunt who always urged her in an action.
SHe was also persecuted by her own father and aunt because they were too concerned with property, power and money. She is willing to do anything to pursue her love even if there are times when she has to sacrifice for the sister she loves. She is always surrounded by hatred that stems from misunderstandings. But this story is a bit hanging. Havva's character is also not in her favor and it seems that she is the person who is the cause and guilt in the whole of this story and is not fair for Havva's character.
The ending are so Finally - after a truncated series E, did not mean anything. The schemers Havva and Sultan are not accountable - no social learning - it finally turned out to be a waste of time. Many loose ends, unexplained conduct of Sultan and incomplete characters who finally had no bearing to the story line.
Moral of the story - Crookery, emotional blackmail, connivance and evil pays. Sad ending to honest characters domestic help thrown out, faked assault. I'm totally confused. I just watched the final episode. Have is in hospital. She's not dead yet. Cunyet shoots Music 5 times and he drops to ground. That's it. Where are all these other ideas you all are getting?
Bade on prison. Hamiyet dies. It's like o watched s different story. I don't even recognize some of the names and plot you mention. Btw, totally pissed the Havasu and Yusuf didn't get together. They butchered the final scene. This is do much worse.
Terrible ending do the same series different ending! Haava screwed always her fault Bull! How could they die how could you let him not forgive her Bade is a jerk just because the mother who is a creep likes her! Netflix why????? We should petition this am not happy. I wish Yusuf did not die. Yes Netflix season 2 and 3 please. Watching this series on YouTube with no subtitles is crazyyy. Can't stand to see every one crying or shouting but not knowing the reasons why.

Then it stopped at No. You can b uy them but they are very expensive. I hope they will bring it back with English subtitles in Season 2 and 3.
Thank you. I realized that Yer Gok Ask was not about Yusuf and Havva, nor was it about Munnever and Yigit, nor Toprak and Sitki, nor about their families and the other people in the series. It was about Sultan, the one person who manipulated them all and was still so much around from EP 1 to the final EP. I thought she would pay for all her sinister acts and evil plans from EP 1 till the end, but no, she was still breathing till the final episode, with all the major characters not around anymore.
What a disappointment….. The title of the series must have been wrong…. Good point Ophelia. I also wondered what the backstory was regarding Sultana and her love hate relationship with the family. She seemed to feel entitled to living and owning a space in the mansion, not as a servant. I have to admit that I appreciate the cultural differences of Turkish movies, and picking up the Turkish language. I also see some emergence of equality and valuing all people- strong and confidant women like Havva standing up to everyone, including her father who is bent on running her life.
The constant clashes between the old ways, exhibited by Yusef, which University trained and seemingly progressive, slapping his sister, Minnerve because she lied to him, and marrying her off as to the creepy Governor.
Making decision about her future without consulting her, which is the old way. Then you see Minnerve going against her mother, working for and having an affair with Celal. That was way too creepy for me, and I liked that actor in Kara Para Ask, but did not like his role here.
Anyway, its good to see other cultural norms in movies and have discussions about it. We live in a global society, and we must begin to better understand and appreciate each other.
Love the scenery, the fields, Cappadocia is breathtaking — I want to visit the fields and caves. Those restaurants and houses seemed to be carved out of stone. I want to see them all. Nice explained observations from you. Actually, I have watched the series on Netflix where I was able to understand the story until the episode where Yusuf was shot on the day of his wedding. After that, I cannot really understand anymore what they were saying because in YouTube there was no English translation.
All I know was Yusuf still loves Havva even if he was already married to Bade. I just base my understanding on their actions. Because he always believes his mother, her words and everything she says and not even doubting her. I ended watching the series on the episode where Hamiyet met Havva face to face in the elevator.
I know though that Yusuf, Havva, and Hamiyet died. It was a sad story about lies and deceits; about love, selfish love, and endless love. That was Et episode If you get a Fox version on You Tube with cc , see if you can get autotranalate. I watched all of the episodes on you tube using Google translate to get the gist of the dialogue and stopped watching Fter Havva died in jail with the baby.
Then I figured out the auto-trandlate. Now I am re-wat hing the episodes Nd it makes a big difference. The translation is not verbatim, but it helps. So after they meet, Havva tells Hamiyet that she would forgive everything. All she wants is for Hamiyet to leave her and Yusef alone because they live each other. Hamiyet agrees to not interfere if Yusef wants to divorce Bade and marry Havva But she is still plotting against Havva.
She then shows signs of mental instability. Bade has a miscarriage of the implanted embryo, but is pretending that she is still pregnant. She decides to seduce Mehmet to get pregnant, and finally tells him everything. Strange, she wants to keep Yusef, but have eyes on Mehmet. Definitely mentally unstsble. Meanwhile Hamiyet ha td chess a plan to throw the blame on Cuynet and gets Yilmaz to agree to go to propose it to Havva.
Havva listens, but is skeptical. They tell her that they will tell Yusef, and only go forward as td if Yusef agrees. Of course, horrible Hamiyet, goes to Havva early the following morning g and tells her that Yimaz has spoken with Yusef. Yusef know the plan and did not object- a lie. At the same time Havva sees a news story of Bade and Yusef having dinner the night before, gets angry, and goes to the station with Hamiyer to write the complaint. While there, her cons ien e is bothering her, and she walks out.
Hamiyet follows her and squeezes, telling her that if she did not complete the complaint, she will call and tell Yusef that Havva had disappointed them. Havva falls for the trap and writes the complaint ning cuynet as hmthe person who kept her locked up in fter the accident.
She did not name her father or Hamiyet. Just that when she Woke she saw Cuynet, a doctor com ik g in and out and a nurse. The police picks up Cuynet, and tells him about the complaint.
He is shocked and is telling the police that it wa as Hamiyet who was the mastermind. Meanwhile, the police calls Yilmaz for a for a statement and Yilmaz confronts Hamiyet. She lies again and tries to blame Havva, saying that havva told her that she had spoken with Yusef and he agrees Yilmaz foes not believe her. And actually tells her exactly how he thinks it happened.
He was correct. Hamiyet caved, just as Yusef walks in. However, Yilmaz. Despite knowing the truth repeatedly as td the lie to Yusef to save Hamiyet.
Yusef goes to Havva who has been waiting to have dinner with him and co fronts her. She is surprised to hear the version that her is relaying. She is trying to explain that they are lying on her, but Yusef believes his fster and ends it with Havva.
